Teenie and sweet as can be

OK, so I'm having so much fun getting to know a whole new batch of babies who'll be my Sadie's age as they get bigger. I have this whole "generation" of children born about 3 1/2 or 4 years ago that I've had fun taking pictures of over the years, managing to remember their ages pretty well because they match up with my Annie. And now I get a whole new group! Does this mean I need to keep having children every few years? ;)

But this lovely lady was a treat at 5 weeks old:

Sweet, and just one month old

When I arrived at baby V's house yesterday I walked in the door and her poor mom and dad looked nervous. The poor pumpkin had been having a really tough couple of days - gas pain was making her cry almost inconsolably. It was about two months ago that I last saw them for their maternity photoshoot, and I think they were worried we wouldn't get great pictures if poor V was having a tough time. But I love the moments like this that we got:


And after some time bouncing on daddy's knee, I think V's belly felt better:


And a little snooze never hurts, too:


Then we tried a nice warm bath, which definitely did the trick (and made for super sweet pictures):


Because then the sweet girl seemed much better:


And even gave us some rare 4 week old smiles:


I loved getting a chance to meet V and see you guys, thanks so much for having me back. Can't wait to see her this summer when she even bigger!

Grinning cousins

These two cute cousins were born within a couple of weeks of each other, and are just too funny when they play together. C, on the right, loves attacking L, on the left. Looks like he might be going in for a smooch or a tackle just before this shot...

Seven months later

Sweet H's first photoshoot was in the hospital when he was just twelve hours old. And now he's a big boy of seven months old, with a perfect grin:

32 weeks along and gorgeous

This beautiful momma and her husband had me over to their house earlier this week, and we got some sweet pictures of her pretty belly:

Amazing eyes on these girls

Ooh, I love childcare and the slow January season! I took these photos earlier today, and thanks to my mother-in-law's preschool pickup, was able to focus the rest of the day on them. I love being able to turn things around so quickly at this time of year!

So I know this one is a non-traditional family shot, but I just love it.

Another beautiful belly

I got to meet the lovely V and her husband last week in their fantastic apartment overlooking the Charles River. The huge windows made for really fun photographs:


At the time of these photos, V was due in three weeks - I love this of Dad feeling the baby:


This is one of my absolute faves. I love that you get a sense of place with the city behind them, and at first you almost don't notice V's sweet belly popping out in the middle.

Number three, on the way

I love it when families I've known for a while let me come back and experience a pregnancy through pictures. I started taking pictures of big five year old A when she was just a year old, and got to do teenie baby pictures of two 1/2 year old R when she was just a little one... and now I got to get excited with the family as they await #3:
