And then there were three

Although I'm officially not working this month, I took one day away from my maternity leave to drive to the Cape to see this family's newest addition. I had to make an exception for them - they're one of my oldest and dearest client families.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I love watching families grow! It is so incredible to visit year after year and see how they change and add children, it is so exciting. I've been taking pictures of these guys since they lived in Boston when their oldest son was just a baby. They moved to NY, I met them down there when I did my Long Island photoshoots, they moved to NJ, and I met them at their Cape house... and now it's been a bunch of years in a row that I've been meeting them there. It's become something of a tradition - their uncle even noticed, as we greeted each other in the driveway - I think we saw each other the same day last year. :)

So for now I'll just blog these guys and their family, although this year we had the cousins visiting, even the ones from Australia! But for now here are the boys, growing bigger every year. I'm in love with this jumping one:

And here they are up close and personal on the couch.

The almost kindergardener, big 5 year old J:

The handsome (spitting image of his dad) big 3 year old L:

And the newest addition, 9 month old handsome boy Z:

I love getting pictures with their hard working dad, playing away:

And their hard working momma, too - with her babe:

Such expressive eyebrows!

It was so great to see you guys as always, I loved it. The best part (aside from the amazing chocolate chip cookies Julie gave me for the road) was the table full of kids who all waved and hollered "See you next year, Jess!". So that's why I took a break from maternity leave for these guys.

July maternity leave

I'm taking the rest of the month of July as my maternity leave, so I'm not available to do any photoshoots this month.

If you're interested in booking an August or fall photoshoot, let me know if you're looking for a weekday or a weekend appointment and I'll send you a list of available times.

Happy 4th, and have a great month :)
