Sweet, and just one month old

When I arrived at baby V's house yesterday I walked in the door and her poor mom and dad looked nervous. The poor pumpkin had been having a really tough couple of days - gas pain was making her cry almost inconsolably. It was about two months ago that I last saw them for their maternity photoshoot, and I think they were worried we wouldn't get great pictures if poor V was having a tough time. But I love the moments like this that we got:


And after some time bouncing on daddy's knee, I think V's belly felt better:


And a little snooze never hurts, too:


Then we tried a nice warm bath, which definitely did the trick (and made for super sweet pictures):


Because then the sweet girl seemed much better:


And even gave us some rare 4 week old smiles:


I loved getting a chance to meet V and see you guys, thanks so much for having me back. Can't wait to see her this summer when she even bigger!

Amazing eyes on these girls

Ooh, I love childcare and the slow January season! I took these photos earlier today, and thanks to my mother-in-law's preschool pickup, was able to focus the rest of the day on them. I love being able to turn things around so quickly at this time of year!

So I know this one is a non-traditional family shot, but I just love it.

Three months old and full of grins

This cutie pie was sleeping happily in daddy's arms when I arrived, so we let him finish off his beauty rest, and when he woke up, he was ready to play. Here he is getting tickled by his momma:

Cozy fire, sweet three year old girl

I've been taking pictures of this beauty since she was just a tiny babe. And so often when people want to do fireplace pictures their livingrooms are too dark (and wonderfully cozy) to get good shots. Luckily, it was a bright chilly late November morning, and we had some lovely window light on beautiful girl E:

One girlie with a huge smile

I took pictures of this little sweetie's cousins last year, and got a chance to meet her (and her mom and her aunt) last week. We did a ton of great pictures of the three ladies together more posed, but as M escaped and ran away, this one was my favorite!

12 hours old

I have to start by saying I'm sorry to the six families who are waiting for their photos to be posted right now - but I had to jump the line for this little guy. He was born this morning, and because his parents are our very best family friends, after we visited them in the hospital I needed to blog his pictures right away.

This is the first time (since my own little munchkin) that I've photographed anyone who was mere hours old, instead of days. And he truly is just perfect. I am in love already - as are his wonderful mom and dad:
