4 year old big brother H likes to be the one to hold his new six week old sister and brother. Two year old sister P's job was "patter", though, and she did a fabulous job:

Everybody's somebody's baby

Sometimes I extend the reach of my "baby" photos business - to extend to wonderful older kids. I got to come see a big family of five kids last week - here are the older three with their dad:


And then just the older three by themselves:

And I had to get a few of baby B by himself. It was great to meet the whole family - your photos are just about ready!

Three cousins turn one

A couple of weeks ago, three cousins, all with birthdays a few weeks from each other, turned one.  I've said it before, but I find that birthday parties are best photographed in color.  So although I usually love b&w best... here are some color party shots.  The families enjoyed some delicious food:


And they were lucky enough to kick off their 2nd year of life with some of the most gorgeous cupcakes I've ever seen! (And I just found out their mom is a pro - here's a link to her cupcake company.)

Fun Baby Naming Festivities

I've been taking pictures of these guys for a couple of years now, and I was honored to be asked to take photos at their youngest daughter's Baby Naming on the Cape last weekend. As I've mentioned before, I find that childrens' parties just cry out for color photos - hence the color shots you see here. Little B was an absolute dream for the whole party:

It's really impossible not to get fantastic pictures at a really fun party like this!

The Magnificent Seven

Last Friday I spent an hour or so with these three 2 year olds, one 3 year old, two 4 year olds and a 5 year old. These cousins had come together from all around the country for the first time ever, and I got to be there to memorialize it.

But the moment of brilliance came when the parents brought out a sprinkler. What else do you do on an 80 degree August morning with seven kids who want to run around? Let them! You know what they say. Just add water.

Baptism and fun on the Cape

9 month old twins A and S were baptized on the Cape last weekend, and I visited the next day to get some photos of them with their cousins at their grandparents' house. Their older brother C is my daughter Annie's age - and I've been taking his picture since he was tiny. Thanks to his grandma for the first photoshoot gift certificate years ago!

Two sets of amazing twins

J and J are seven, and their little brother and sister A and A are four. My daughter's been going to their family's home daycare for a year now, and she's headed to preschool - we're so sad to be losing daily contact with these guys! Here's the gorgeous family:

New family photos

See, I wouldn't have thought of this aspect of adoption - but it makes so much sense...

This sweet family had fun family photos all over their house showing their older three children, but when they adopted T, they realized they needed to update the picture frames with their new family. I'm so glad they did, because it meant I got to spend some time with them.
