Tossing leaves in the air:
Getting a toss from dad:
And a giggle with mom:
It was great seeing you guys again!
Dedication is getting up at 4am to get on the road from Philly by 5am to make it to Boston by 11am for a photoshoot. Dedication is saying, let's go for it - even when the rain is pouring down (this was last Friday - pre-heat wave). And you know what? Dedication just happens to bring about pretty great photos.
I met these guys about a year ago when we did A's first photoshoot when she was just about a year old. And then they moved to Philly :( But then they planned a visit and we got to do photos again! Can't wait to meet #2 when they visit again next year.
Isn't she lovely?
Here I am, giving in to my addiction again (I've mentioned it before... I'm addicted to the "throwing the kidlet in the air" shots. I'm looking into counseling options.)
Dipping toes in made feet a leetle bit dirty, but no harm there.
Getting a lift:
Showing off some dancing moves:
Catching sight of the ducks for the first time:
A lesson from mom about wiping hands off can be a game, too.
One of the best moments was when A caught sight of these two mallards and started giving them a little chase. Pretty funny.
You can barely tell that A is actually riding one of the Robert McCloskey Make Way for Ducklings ducks here, because she's got such a good hold on his beak! I just loved her expression in this one.
All your photos will be ready in the next few days. It was great seeing you guys last Friday and I can't wait to show you all the fun shots. It was definitely worth the early drive!
We had such perfect weather today, I was so thrilled to be using the day for photos. I hate when those gorgeous spring days zip past without a shoot booked! So I was thrilled when T's mom called me yesterday and said, can we possibly do photos before Mother's Day? And yay, I had a free day, so we went for it. This first shot is a new favorite of mine - I love the Pru in the background and T's arm stretching up so high...
All you Bostonians are starting to recognize the spot, right? And do you believe the two swans visiting the Public Garden today came over to visit when T was at the water?
Now, here you can get a good look at this big gorgeous boy! He's 18 months old, and he loved running around and playing.
Love T's fantastic lips in this one...
Riding the beloved Mack. Or is that Jack or Lack?
Just one more with T and his beautiful momma. They had a blast playing together today, and wait 'til you scroll down a bit and see our Nantucket pictures from last summer with T's grandmother - you can see the resemblance -- three generations of beauties!
And before we finished up today, we couldn't forget T's beloved Nanny. We needed to capture some moments of them playing together - he has such a great time with her.
Now I had to call this post "Ducks and the water, twice", because the first time I did T's photos we were out on Nantucket last August (I usually do a few days of sessions out there each summer), and his grandmother (yes, I didn't mistype that - she's really his grandmother... gorgeous, isn't she?) had me join them at a tiny pond where there were more ducks than I'd ever seen before. Incredible.
Looking back at these makes me realize how much T has grown since August - amazing! He wasn't standing on his own back then, and he was just such a cute little baldy...
T, giving us his almost 1 year old wave, as a sneaky duck appears behind him. All today's photos will be ready soon - thanks for a great day today and last summer, guys!
