I zipped over to 20 month old T's new house yesterday afternoon to grab some quick Father's Day pictures. This one's my favorite:
Here's my handsome friend T - you may recognize him from the Public Garden pictures from a few weeks ago. (Dad wasn't there for those.) He gets more handsome every day, I think.
I like this one a lot, too. T looks like he's got trouble on his mind...

And while we had the whole crew together, we had to grab a quick family shot. Doesn't Lincoln (the pup) look content?
See that belly there? No pressure on my 2 1/2 yr old Annie, but that belly's housing her future best friend. I'm only sure of this because the baby's dad is my husband's best friend Sasha, and you have to be best friends with the friends your parents choose for you, right? ;)
So I've got lots of daddy pictures to post today from this fun session last weekend because Marni (the future best friend's wonderful momma) needs to choose her Father's Day photos, and time's getting tight. Here's one:

Now, for a couple I didn't know well, I'd say this is the shot to use as a Father's Day present. It's sweet, it's dad talking to the belly...
But anyone who knows Sash knows that he's not yelling in this picture, but singing. And Sash singing is Sash being himself. So this is the one I love best. I hope you enjoy them, too, guys.

And I have to admit I broke my own "no weddings" rule last year and shot Sash and Marni's wedding. Weren't they gorgeous and glowing even back then? And when the baby's born, I guess we won't force the best friend thing... but you never know... :)
I arrived at this family's house at 5:45pm on Wednesday - yikes, you might say - why so late? Well Dad takes a class on Wednesday nights, and it was our one chance to get Father's Day photos of the kids all together without him knowing about it. So my mom did Annie's daycare pickup and I got to have fun shooting in late afternoon light - a rarity for me.
So I'll admit I was nervous... a 5:45pm start time? The witching hour? How was it going to go? But I was so pleasantly surprised! These guys were awesome, the sweetest big sister (14 yrs) and wonderful big brother (12 yrs) - and little brother (3 yrs) did so well with the late hour.
What a handsome guy. I love S's smile in this one - so genuine! Can you tell he's about to leap up into a tree here? Even in his nice shirt :)
And here's a giggly C, being amused by his brother and sister.
And gorgeous K - hanging out in one of the amazing trees near their house. We got to run around within the coolest huge trees during the shoot... the light was so beautiful - and it was fun to boot.
They just had such fun together.
So the expression you see on C's face here is a reaction to perhaps the most stubborn dandelion ever... after blowing, blowing and blowing on it, those little seedlings just wouldn't let go. Made for a great shot, though.
So his sister stepped in to help... eventually they did get the seedlings to come loose from the dandelion, but it took a lot of work!
And I couldn't finish up blogging this session without a quick memory from December of '05 - little C with his dad. And as I always mention when it's a surprise for dad photoshoot - shhhh - if you know these guys, don't mention it to Dad, OK?
Great to see you guys again. Your photos will all be ready by the end of the weekend.
Had a fun morning Wednesday with these two cuties. And no, their feet weren't stinky... but boy was the idea of stinky feet hilarious :)
We had some nice inside time first, enjoying a good book in mom's lap.
Their mom was such a help - I loved their dynamic with her... they thought she was hilarious, which was a big help for me :) Love the way the sun is creeping into the photo on the left of this one...
So I know I'm a real nerd but I'm just sitting here alone giggling at this picture. The perfectly messy faces, the ice cream spoon poking out, and the expression on both of these faces... Just too much. And the fact that big bro is sitting on the step in front of little sis, so it almost looks like they've been cut out of two totally separate photos. It just makes me laugh out loud - I love it.

And one last one of J, the big brother. I had a great time talking superheroes and Shrek popsicles with him (who knew they had green caramel within a popsicle? Learn something new every day...), and I just feel like this shot captures his "almost five-ness" perfectly. He is such a good storyteller.
And last but certainly not least, the most verbal little 17 month old, miss J. She had such great expressions, and communicated so well, I was impressed. Look at those eyes, and her fantastic big waves in her hair.
If you know these guys, shhh, don't tell about the photos, because it's a surprise for their dad, ok?

In just a few more weeks, 7 year old M will be a big sister, and she's so excited! She's going to be a dream of a helper, I can tell. She already loves kissing her mom's belly :) Mom wanted to do these pictures as a present for her husband, who I think's going to love them!

And the sweetest thing is that M likes to read books to the baby in her mom's belly...
I almost didn't notlice little O when I walked into the room where he was lying peacefully in his basket this morning. He's only 7 weeks old, and it's hard to tell in this picture, but he has the best hair - mom's little monchhichi :)
I just love those little fingers up in the air - not to mention the gorgeous eyes.
And as we finished up the pictures today, O graciously fell asleep - I think because he knew how adorable he was as he slept. He wanted to make sure we got a few snoozing shots. What a guy. Thanks for today, guys! I'll send you a link to all your pictures as soon as I can.
