Three big brothers welcome a perfect baby sister

I've been taking pictures of this wonderful family for five years now, for the newborn pictures of three of the four of them now! I can't even explain how amazing it is to see families grow like this, I just love it. Baby E was born three months ago, and she's a beautiful pink sweetheart, with three big brothers to look out for her.


They each love her so much - nearly 3 year old brother G (um, how did you get to be almost 3??):

Isn't she just lovely? I was in love with the tutu onesie. Babies R' Us, apparently. Time for me to shop for my little ballerina, I think...


So I know I don't usually blog so many pictures of one photoshoot, but I just have to show you a few more. We have fabulous individual shots of each of the boys. Doesn't G look handsome as anything here?


And I love this of N as he hollers from the swingset :)

Everybody's somebody's baby

Sometimes I extend the reach of my "baby" photos business - to extend to wonderful older kids. I got to come see a big family of five kids last week - here are the older three with their dad:


And then just the older three by themselves:

And I had to get a few of baby B by himself. It was great to meet the whole family - your photos are just about ready!

My family

So there's not much more fun than being hired by your own brother-in-law to take photos of his kids, and then throwing your own kid in there for the fun of it.  Here's my niece and nephew E and D, with my blond pigtailed girlie on the end:


We took them apple picking, but the apples weren't ready a couple of weeks ago when we went, so we had to just enjoy a hayride and some corn picking.  The BEST corn I've ever eaten... by far!


Here's when E tried to convince her brother that he was having a great time sitting with his cousin.  Don't you love this?  And Annie's forced smile on the right - just perfect.


And here's my very favorite shot of my bro-in-law with his two cuties.  I love all their faces in this picture so much:


And of course seven year old E had to show us her handstand.  Not bad!


And here's the whole crew, with Grandma, too.  I had loads of fun, and it was great to get all the kids together.  Annie just idolizes her cousins so much :)

Baptism and fun on the Cape

9 month old twins A and S were baptized on the Cape last weekend, and I visited the next day to get some photos of them with their cousins at their grandparents' house. Their older brother C is my daughter Annie's age - and I've been taking his picture since he was tiny. Thanks to his grandma for the first photoshoot gift certificate years ago!

They're all somebody's baby

17 year old M needed some senior photos, and his mom thought she'd get some pics with his 5 1/2 yr old sister C while we were at it.

And here's M, on his motorcycle - one of my favorite shots from his senior photo session. People ask me if I "do" senior photos, and I tell them, as long as you consider them your baby - I'm there. All my clients are growing older.. can't turn them away just because they don't fit the dictionary definition of Boston Babies anymore!

New family photos

See, I wouldn't have thought of this aspect of adoption - but it makes so much sense...

This sweet family had fun family photos all over their house showing their older three children, but when they adopted T, they realized they needed to update the picture frames with their new family. I'm so glad they did, because it meant I got to spend some time with them.

A new baby to join the big crew

This lovely grandma called me last week to see if I happened to have any times available over the weekend for photos. Her whole family was going to be in town, and she wanted to get all sorts of photos of them. I'd had a cancellation, which meant I got to come to her house on Saturday. Gorgeous smile

Let me introduce the lovely C - I was so lucky to get to take her picture earlier this week for the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE)'s Annual Heart Gallery. I've donated a session to the Heart Gallery every year since its inception in 2005, and I've met some amazing kids.

The Heart Gallery is an exhibit of portraits of children in the state’s foster care system in need of adoption. Since 2005, 75 percent of the children who've been featured are now with safe, permanent, adoptive families.

And my first Heart Gallery session ever, back in late 2004 for the 2005 gallery... I loved these guys so much. I came home and talked to my husband about the idea of adopting them, really. It didn't make sense for us at the time, but whoever did adopt them is really lucky. It's true of all these kids - they're all just so amazing, I've been so happy to get to meet them all over the years.
